About Us

EcoKargha Consulting Private Limited started as Eco Kargha Handicrafts Marketing Private Limited in 2012 as a for-profit social enterprise that worked with Tasar Silk weavers in Bihar. After experiencing business failures, it pivoted its focus to create a knowledge-driven company, benefitting from experience of running a manufacturing & marketing concern focused at bottom of pyramid.

EcoKargha Consulting is dedicated to creating innovative strategies and sustainable solutions that help clients and systems reach their objectives. We emphasize addressing complex development challenges and nurturing ecosystems within communities for comprehensive growth. Our primary focus areas include: Climate Resilient Agriculture, Value Chain Development & Market Access, Handloom & Handicrafts Market Access, Non-Farm Enterprises Development and Financial Inclusion & Access to Credit.

Meet the Team

Yachna Srivastava

Director

She has more than 20 years of sectoral experience in livelihoods, agriculture, financial inclusion, natural resource management & Health. Her expertise lies in

program design & management, monitoring & evaluation, qualitative and quantitative research, institution building, gender, training module development & training.

She has worked with reputed organisations like PRADAN, BRLPS, PATH, SRIJAN, GIZ, Care India, Digital Green and Louis Berger. She has played a pioneering role in strengthening SHG and their federations, creating community institutions for poultry & NRM during her stint in PRADAN, creating Banking Correspondent Model with GIZ and has led the implementation of a Randomised Control Trial with PATH India.

She has M.A in Social work from TISS in 2004 and completed Online PGP in Data Science and Business Analytics from Texas McCombs School of Business, USA 2022.

Ravi Chandra

Director

He has more than 18 years of experience in program design , women economic empowerment, climate resilient agriculture., rural development, value chain development, and enterprise promotion . His expertise lies in strategy, communication, partnerships, resource mobilization, and managing donor & government relationships.

He has leadership experience with UNDP India on value chain and livelihoods with a focus on gender equality, covering enterprise, market, institutional, policy, and regulatory interventions. He has led the development of two value chains ( Bamboo & Tusser Silk) and launched incense stick (Sugandh Vihar) and Handloom Saree & Stoles (EcoStree) brand in market. He has real life experience of failure after starting & scaling up social enterprises for 8 years in Bihar.

He has PGDRM from IRMA in 2006. He has completed courses on Livelihoods and Economic Recovery in Fragile and Crisis Contexts, Crisis Academy, UNDP; Designing a Multidimensional Poverty Index, University of Oxford, UK and Eco-inclusive Enterprise Development, SEED (seed.uno).
